56 days ago I created my first Twitter account. The purpose of my Twitter account is to support this blog (insidemyrocket.com) and to make a name for myself in the world of online marketing. Aiming for 10K daily blog visitors by December 2013 I need to be where the audience is and shout my URL to the moon.
56 days ago I was a total Twitter noob. Since then I’ve been playing around with it quite a bit and it’s eating up way too much of my time. But I’m in love with this fantastic tool.
So far I’ve done 109 tweets, I’m following 537 other users, and 83 are following me. The majority of users following me is just a result of them following me back. How sad is that?
Doing a little math I’m averaging just about 2 tweets a day. That doesn’t seem like much compared to other successful internet marketers who seem to be able to tweet 10, 20, or even 50 times a day. I don’t know how they do it – or if it’s even the right thing to do.
Well – I’ll do a follow up on this one in a month or two. By then I can probably provide you with more insights on how Twitter works as a traffic generator for me.
